Another year, another set of records for the Nigeria’s billionaire class.
Richlist has been scanning the globe for Nigerian billionaires since 2022. We found 500 of them that first year. It took one year for their numbers to swell beyond 1,000. Then there were 2,000 in 2024. Now, three years since the first index, another milestone: 4,011 entrepreneurs, investors and heirs make up this year’s ranking, 2011 more than a year ago. Not only are there more of them, but they’re richer than ever, worth $100 billion in total—up nearly $45 billion over 2024. Anambra State has a record 93 billionaires, followed by Ogun 77, and kano (54). We used stock prices and exchange rates from March 7, 2025.
